This might sound silly to most, even to the runners and triathletes out there but I found myself getting bored. After a season full of PR's, I needed to find something new to chase. While racing hasn't lost its spark, toeing up to the line still gets the blood flowing as does crossing the finish line but I just needed something fresh. Say hello to my new goal, a goal that is about 2/3 complete already. Inspired by Shawn, this new ENDEAVOR is called #RunEveryDamnDay and as of September 1st, I've ran 19 straight days and kind of excited how long I can keep the streak going.
With this running every day business, I've decided that a simple run around the block really doesn't count so I have a minimum that counts towards my running streak, that distance is 1.5 miles. Some runs are fast, some are lengthy, but most importantly each run has a purpose. With this I have "ACCIDENTALLY" signed up for the Fargo Mini Marathon since I have yet to win the lottery and won't be taking off for Kona. It falls on the weekend after my birthday so I guess I can celebrate by racing a half marathon and chasing one more PR for the year.
Running through September 19th - 78 miles
So with that, enjoy these cooler temps and keep on running people. Run fast, run long and run with a smile!
