The last day of March, man time flies! I thought today would be a good day to sneak in a longer run as I need to figure out what Fargo Marathon race I want to do. March brought a lot of running days as I only skipped 2 days the whole month without either running or biking. 174.5 miles in all, 107 running and 67 biking for a quick breakdown. For the year, I am at 553 total miles with 324 of those being of the running type.
The best part is a few of these last runs have been outside! Yes, the treadmill days are almost over here in Minnesota and it's glorious to think about. While I don't mind running on the treadmill, running outside just brings a whole different level of training. In the upcoming days I will be able to run outside again as I am off to Arizona for a little mini vacation. A much needed break from this thing they call life. Running, climbing and maybe some swimming...it's going to be forking great!
As I look at my Garmin data I discovered I have ran all but 5 days in 2019 thus far. I have racked up 256 miles running and another 190 on Stealth. For thoSe newbies out There, Stealth is my bIke...my beloved Speed Concept! Let’s just say I’m excited for the snow to melt and to see what IMWI 70.3 and Grandmas brings.
Still have lots of training to do but will try to train more This spring and race more towards the end of summer. It seems like every week we Hear about a smaller local raCe that is canceled so it is getting difficult to bREw up a scheduLe. For now, Madison and DuLuth are priority. Think spring my fRiends!
